FAQ about how to use Saltpipe Dry Inhaler
About the Saltpipe Dry Inhaler
1. How do I use the Saltpipe Dry Inhaler?
The Saltpipe Dry Inhaler is light and ergonomically shaped and can be comfortably held in one hand. Shake the inhaler twice before use. Insert the pipe into your mouth and inhale through your mouth. You do not need to inhale more deeply than during normal breathing. Always exhale through the nose, as this ensures that the complete respiratory tract is thoroughly cleansed. The one way airflow safety valve in the saltpipe will prevent you from breathing out back into the pipe. You may experience increased expectoration after use of the pipe, which shows that the saltpipe and the salt therapy work and the cleansing of your respiratory tract has begun. The pipe should be used for 15 - 20 minutes daily, either all at once or in shorter sessions throughout the day.
2. Is the Saltpipe Dry Inhaler refillable?
The inhaler is not refillable. The active ingredient (Halite mineral salt crystals) lasts up to 5 years if stored properly, from the first day of use.
3. How long will the Saltpipe Dry Inhaler last?
Up to 5 years, when using at the recommended duration of 20 minutes daily.
4. What kind of salt does the Saltpipe Dry Inhaler contain?
Natural selected halite rock salt crystals from the famous Transylvanian Praid Salt Mine.
5. Is there any difference between the salt contained in the Saltpipe Dry Inhaler and the salt of the ‘Himalayan inhaler’?
The salt contained in the Saltpipe Dry Inhaler is the same or even better quality than the Himalayan salt according to laboratory analysis. It is exactly this proven quality of the Carpathian Mts. halite salt crystals which established the reputation of salt therapy.
6. Is it important to exhale through the nose?
For the salt therapy to work, you must always exhale through the nose! The microparticles of salt must always follow the normal pathway out of the respiratory system exiting via the nose.
7. How can the Saltpipe Dry Inhaler be used to clear the nose if you have sinus problems?
The design of the mouth piece of the inhaler makes it possible to inhale the air through the nose to help clean the nasal cavity. Just place the pipe to one nostril and you do not need to close the one. Then inhale through the nose and exhale out through the mouth or the nose (if you can). With continued use, this will gradually alleviate the nasal blockage.
8. How soon will I notice the positive effects of the salt therapy?
1. If you are using the Saltpipe Dry Inhaler for general prevention of occasional respiratory problems, you will notice improvement over a period of time. Salt therapy activates the body's own defence mechanisms, which can help ward off seasonal microbial and/or allergen attacks.
2. When using salt therapy in chronic respiratory diseases, the positive results will generally become apparent within at least a few weeks after the start of the treatment.
3. Bronchial asthma sufferers who use the salt therapy as recommended for 20 minutes daily should experience easier breathing within at least two to three weeks.
9. Can I still take my current medication?
